Born: 1949, BaltimoreBaltimore-born Christopher Rouse is one of today’s most prominent composers of orchestral music. Winner of both the Pulitzer Prize and a Grammy, Rouse was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Letters in 2002 and is on the faculty of the Juilliard School.
