About this Artist

DANIEL SELON is thrilled to be collaborating with the Los Angeles Philharmonic on Young Caesar. His costume design work can be seen in numerous TV and film projects for HBO, FXX, Hulu, Adult Swim, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, and YouTube Red. Currently, the award-winning indie film Dave Made a Maze (2017), featuring costumes, sets, and puppets built entirely from cardboard, is sweeping the festival circuit. Daniel’s most recent marionette adventure, Memory Rings with Phantom Limb Company, was featured at OZ Arts Nashville, CAP UCLA, and the Next Wave Festival at BAM. Bringing Young Caesar to life with Yuval Sharon in Walt Disney Concert Hall has been a dream come true.

Originally hailing from the Midwest, he discovered the joys of performance and puppetry at a young age while at the Children’s Theatre Company in Minneapolis, MN. He is a proud alumnus of Occidental College, where he fell in love with directing and design. Daniel lives with his endlessly supportive partner Brandon under the watchful eyes of their two small dogs. See more at danielselon.com.
