Internationally renowned concert, jazz and recording artist, RICHARD TODD has earned acclaim as one of the finest horn soloists today. From the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra to Birdland, Mr. Todd is the leader in a new generation of horn artists.

A rigorous schedule includes his position as principal horn with the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra and the Santa Barbara Symphony, recitals and solo engagements across the country, work in the film industry, on recordings, appearances as a jazz artist in concerts and recordings, and his own busy personal recording career. He has performed as guest soloist with orchestras in the United States and abroad, including the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra; Saarbrücken Radio Orchestra; Saint John's Smith Square London; and the New Orleans, Santa Barbara, Arkansas, Akron, Long Beach, San Luis Obispo, Pasadena, and Santa Rosa symphonies. Festival appearances include the Oregon Bach, Mostly Mozart, Tanglewood, Casals, La Jolla, Tucson, Chatauqua, Sedona, Sandpoint, Music Academy of the West, Grand Teton, and the San Luis Obispo Mozart festivals.

Recent solo recording projects include an album of horn sonatas, and a jazz album, Songs After Sundown, and Rhapsody for Horn and Orchestra, commissioned by and recorded with the San Luis Obispo Symphony specifically for Richard Todd. Mr. Todd made his Carnegie Hall debut in April 2001 in a performance of Craig Russell's Rhapsody.

Mr. Todd is deeply committed to arts education and making the arts more accessible to all listeners. He is currently on faculty at USC and the Henry Mancini Institute. Mr. Todd is also a spokesperson and consultant for Conn Horns, where he assists in the development of horn and mouthpiece designs.
