Tenor MARK TUCKER is an acclaimed interpreter of the music of Monteverdi. He has performed the Vespers at the Salzburg Festival and at St. Mark's in Venice, and Il combattimento at Vienna's Konzerthaus. He has sung the title role in L'Orfeo at the Bruges Festival, Barcelona's Liceu, and at the Palazzo Ducale in Mantua; Nerone in L'incoronazione di Poppea and Eurimaco in Il ritorno d'Ulisse for Netherlands Opera; and Telemaco in Boston Baroque's production of Ulisse.
Tucker has sung with the Sydney Opera, Brussels' La Monnaie, the Théâtre du Chatelet in Paris, and the Royal Opera, Covent Garden; has appeared in concert with the BBC Symphony, the Gabrieli Consort, the London Mozart Players, the London Symphony, and the Philadelphia Orchestra; and can be heard on Boston Baroque's Grammy-nominated recording of Bach's Mass in B minor.
