About this Artist
CRAIG WEDREN is a songwriter, singer and composer for film and TV.
He began his career fronting avant-rock pioneers Shudder To Think, and has since continued to foray into virtually all areas of modern music.
In addition to his film and T.V. work (credits include score and songs for Jill Soloway, Lisa Cholodenko, David Wain, Richard Linklater, Todd Haynes, and Karyn Kusama, to name a few), Craig continues to release original music on his own, and in collaboration with an extraordinary community of artists and friends including Jefferson Friedman, Jherek Bischoff, Theodore Shapiro and his own composing collective, PINK APE.
Currently, Craig is completing his latest solo album, ‘Adult Desire’, and creating an accompanying VR (Virtual Reality) narrative video series, a first of its kind which builds on a pair of groundbreaking immersive videos from his 2012 album ‘Wand’.
This Summer Craig will also be releasing a book of his Polaroid art; entitled ‘My 90s’, it chronicles in dreamlike fashion his years on the road and in the studio with Shudder To Think and other alt-rock luminaries; and his first forays into film scoring in the fertile NYC indie film scene at the turn of the century.
