LUDOVIC BEIER is a highly acclaimed accordionist who is also a producer, composer, and arranger working on many varied projects and living in Paris. He made his stage debut in 1986 at the age of eight. In 1993 he joined an ensemble of accordion prodigies, recorded a studio album, and began playing dance shows throughout the Pontoise area in France. In the following years he won several competitions and formed his own orchestra, performing in France and abroad. His album Nuit blanche was released in 1997, beginning an annual string of new recordings. In 2002 he released the hit disc Swing Rencontre, and he played four concerts with the group from that album at Birdland in New York, as part of a Django Festival. Beier has toured widely, including a summer festival tour of the U.S. in 1993, and he has performed with such artists as Florin Nicolescu, Martin Taylor, Buddy DeFranco, and Dorado Schmitt. He has worked frequently with Angelo Debarre and their album Come Into My Swing was released in 1993 by Harmonia Mundi.
