About this Artist

KAREN BENJAMIN is a versatile soprano who is at home in opera, musical theatre, and cabaret. As a concert artist, she recently appeared at the Getty Center and on the program “Sundays Live” on KMZT. Karen created the role of Rocket J. Squirrel in LA Opera’s production of Les Moose: The Operatic Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle. She even survived 4-1/2 years in the Los Angeles production of Phantom of the Opera at the Ahmanson Theatre. Karen frequently performs with her husband, Alan Chapman, in their original cabaret act. They will make their Carnegie Hall debut with Michael Feinstein next month. Karen teaches voice privately.
