Paper Flower Making w/ Corita Art Center

About this Artist

The Corita Art Center preserves and promotes Corita Kent’s art, teaching, and passion for social justice. Join us making paper flowers in the tradition of the Mary’s Day celebrations that became a hallmark of the Immaculate Heart College Art Department in the late 1960s. Adorn yourself and your bike with these colorful flowers or leave them with us for use at the upcoming Corita 100 Celebration. The Corita 100 Celebration (November 10) is a fun, participatory experience in honor of the artist Corita Kent’s 100th birthday, featuring artmaking stations, a display of her original artwork, art box installations created by the community, food, drink, and more.
