EMMA KINGSBURY (costume design) trained at Australia’s National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA). Her credits include Scottish Ballet’s The Crucible, Atlanta Ballet’s Camino Real, Pennsylvania Ballet’s Tilt, Tulsa Ballet’s Meoal: Among and Pentaptych, Oregon Ballet’s Terra, Smuin Ballet’s Oasis, Pinchgut Opera’s Der Rauchfangkehrer, Sydney Chamber Opera’s Ich Habe Genug, and Los Angeles Philharmonic’s Europeras 1 & 2 and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Emma was resident costume designer for Ken Unsworth and the Australian Dance Artists. Other major works include Andy X: The Movie, directed by Jim Sharman; Atomic: The Musical, Sydney and New York productions; The Tempest, Oedipus Rex, and The African Ladies Troupe touring Australia and U.K.

Emma’s film credits include The Wolverine, God’s of Egypt, Truth, How to Train Your Dragon, and NBC Universal’s Childhood’s End. Emma’s most recent film work includes the mini-series Top of the Lake: China Girl and Pacific Rim: Uprising. Emma is currently based in San Francisco and in 2019 is designing for Opera Australia, Edinburgh Festival, and for the production of ATLAS at the LA Phil.
