Los Angeles-based mezzo-soprano JOANNA LYNN-JACOBS (Alexandra at 25-45) is a diverse vocal artist with experience in traditional and contemporary operatic repertoire, as well as jazz, pop, and musical theater. She most recently appeared in John Cage’s Europeras 1 & 2, a co-production by the Los Angeles Philharmonic and The Industry. She has also performed with LA Opera Outreach and again with LA Philharmonic/Industry in War of the Worlds and Nimbus. Previous operatic roles include Carmen in The Tragedy of Carmen, Despina in Così fan tutte, and the Countess in The Two Figaros. As a recitalist, Lynn-Jacobs sings for organizations such as Horizon Music Group and African Americans for LA Opera. Joanna holds a B.M. from Boston University and an M.M. from the Herb Alpert School of Music at UCLA.
