About this Artist

Derek Traub (Senior Writer) joined the LA Phil as a writer in 2011 and is the author of the "Past" volume in the LA Phil's recently released commemorative publication Past/Forward The LA Phil at 100. Prior to joining the LA Phil, Derek worked as an analyst for the Milken Institute in Santa Monica, CA and as a Senior Associate with the United Nations Foundation in Washington, DC. Before working in the non-profit sector, Derek studied English, Ancient Greek, and Latin literatures at UCLA and Columbia University.
