Dionne's collaborations with acts like TLC, A.D., Jermaine Dupri, Kenny Dope, Xscape, El DeBarge, and Guru's Jazzmatazz attest to her impressive versatility, whether melding rock and funk, bringing a soulful edge to jazz, or infusing hip hop and house with her singular style.
 
Dionne's solo journey began with Wild Seed-Wild Flower (1994), a "genius debut" (Billboard) that yielded her Top 5 Grammy-nominated hit "I Know." Three years later, her recording of "Hopeless" for the movie Love Jones (1997) became a modern classic. Following the long-awaited release of For Truth If Not Love (2011), Creative Loafing called Dionne's first self-produced project Signs of Life (2011) "the best CD of her career" while SoulBounce declared her collaboration with the Russell Gunn Quartet, Dionne Get Your Gunn (2013), "innovative and fresh." Teaming with guitarist Charlie Hunter, her homage to Dionne Warwick, DionneDionne (2014), reached the Top 5 iTunes Jazz Chart as well as the Top 20 on Billboard's Jazz Chart.  Dionne reunites with Gunn, joining The Royal Krunk Jazz Orkestra, as the featured vocalist on their debut studio record, Get It How You Live (2018), “Dionne sets powerful accents on “Fair” with her vocal expressiveness” (Smooth Jazz Daily). The group wastes no time on their follow up, Pyramids (2019). 2019 marks the 25th Anniversary of Wild Seed - Wild Flower, and plans for a special WS-WF Full Bloom 2.0 project and 2020 tour to celebrate the milestone are in the works. From her spellbinding tribute to Anita Baker on the Soul Train Music Awards (2010) to the standing ovation that greeted her performance at BET's 2017 American Black Film Festival Honors, Dionne's voice is a gift of untold wonders.
