Justin Hurwitz graduated in 2008 from Harvard University, where he studied music composition and orchestration. He has composed the music for all of Damien Chazelle’s films – Guy and Madeline on a Park Bench, Whiplash, La La Land, and First Man – earning two Academy Awards, two Golden Globes, two Critics’ Choice Awards, two Grammys, and the BAFTA for film music for his work on La La Land, and a Golden Globe and Critics’ Choice Award for his work on First Man. Justin has also worked as a writer, penning an episode of The Simpsons, and working as a writer/producer on season 9 of Curb Your Enthusiasm. Justin lives in Los Angeles.
