Timur and the Dime Museum

About this Artist

Described by LA Times as "dangerous and seductive", TIMUR AND THE DIME MUSEUM performs “romantic, smashing, noisy” (LA Weekly) songs with theatrical flair and dynamic live performances. Equally at home performing at clubs and festivals, ranging from Joe’s Pub, World Café, the Echo to the ALOUD series, America's Got Talent, Redcat Gala with Jack Black, LAX Festival and the Industry LA, the band also played support shows for DeVotchKa, Tiger Lilies and Kristian Hoffman. Led by opera singer TIMUR, described by LA Magazine as "a symphony hall of great vocal talents", the band performed as part of the PROTOTYPE 2013 festival, and continued their collaboration with Beth Morrison Projects on COLLAPSE, a glam-rock Requiem composed by band member Daniel Corral with costumes by Victor Wilde of Bohemian Society and videos by Jesse Gilbert. COLLAPSE was premiered in 2014 at Redcat Theater, toured to Miami Light Project, Rotterdam Operadagen, BAM 2015 Next Wave Festival, and recently was produced as an album by Nick Urata of DeVotchKa and Nick Tipp.
