Angela Ramirez

About this Artist

Angela Ramirez is a native of Miami, Florida and a rising freshman at the Johns Hopkins Peabody Institute where she will be studying with Judith Ingolfsson. Angela was the runner-up for the 2020 Greater Miami Youth Symphony Concerto Competition, where she served as co-concertmaster. Since entering high school, Angela has participated in local, regional, and national orchestra festivals, including Florida All-State, New World Symphony Side-by-Side Ensemble, Music for All National Festival, and the Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall. In the summer of 2019, she attended the Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles National Festival and Institute, where she performed alongside the Los Angeles Philharmonic as concertmaster for performances at the Hollywood Bowl and Edinburgh International Festival. Angela has also attended The Castleman Quartet Program, Miami Youth for Chamber Music, SummerStrings at NYU, and Frost School of Music Young Musicians Camp.
