Jonathan Webb

Jonathan Webb is an uprising second-year at the University of Georgia where he studies Saxophone Performance. As an avid woodwind doubler, Jonathan taught himself how to play flute, oboe, clarinet, and bassoon and has even performed on three of them with his high school band and placed first chair flute in his district’s Honors Symphony Orchestra. Throughout high school, Jonathan regularly placed in All-State and Honor band, performed at Carnegie Hall as a part of Honors Performance Series, attended Dakota Chamber Music Festival, and was part of the YOLA National Festival and Nation Institute programs where we had the opportunity to perform in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Bowl and Walt Disney Concert Hall and Scotland where he performed at the Edinburgh Music Festival. He’s also been awarded multiple Most Talented and Most Outstanding awards as determined by his band directors and peers, also winning his high school Director’s Award and Scholarship. In college, Jonathan has gotten the opportunity to premiere “More Than Words” by Kevin Day at the North American Saxophone Alliance Conference in Tempe, Arizona, with the University of Georgia Saxophone Octet and was involved in the UGA Redcoat Marching Band. Lastly, Jonathan loves spending his free time reading, going to the gym, hiking, and enjoying nature.
