About this Artist
Oliver Talukder has been playing oboe for seven years. Oliver was in the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra (CYSO) and in addition to the core orchestra, he’s involved in several other programs at CYSO including Chamber Music, the Ambassadors Program, Chamber Orchestra, the Social Media Team, and also embarked on a tour of the Baltics playing in Stockholm, Helsinki, Estonia, and St. Petersburg. He was a student at the People’s Music School and was also a fellow of the inaugural year of the Chicago Musical Pathways Initiative (CMPI). In the summer of 2019, Oliver was a member of Carnegie Hall's National Youth Orchestra of the USA (NYOUSA) in their European Tour to Germany, the UK, and the Netherlands. Oliver currently is a freshman at The Curtis Institute of Music, studying with Richard Woodhams. When he's not playing the oboe, Oliver enjoys long distance running and fulfilling his role as producer on the Take Five! podcast.
