Seth MacFarlane

About this Artist

Seth MacFarlane’s talents encompass every aspect of the entertainment industry. A true multi-hyphenate, he is behind some of today’s most popular content in television, music, and film, garnering five Emmys, five Grammy nominations, and an Academy Award nomination.

MacFarlane boasts an impressive musical portfolio. His Grammy-nominated ninth studio album, Lush Life: The Lost Sinatra Arrangements, was released June 6, 2025, and includes 12 never-before-heard arrangements originally created for Frank Sinatra by his legendary collaborators Nelson Riddle, Billy May, and Don Costa, all of which remained in the private collection of the Sinatra family, unheard—until now. The album was released to tremendous success, reaching No. 1 on iTunes’ jazz chart and landing a trio of US Billboard chart rankings: top 3 on the Traditional Jazz Albums chart, top 5 on Jazz Albums, and top 20 on the Top Album Sales chart. MacFarlane’s critically acclaimed albums Music Is Better Than Words, Holiday for Swing!, No One Ever Tells You, In Full Swing, Once in a While, Great Songs from Stage & Screen, Blue Skies, and We Wish You the Merriest have earned him five Grammy Award nominations and several No. 1 debuts on the iTunes jazz and New Release Jazz pages. With a profound appreciation for standards and the Great American Songbook, MacFarlane acquired the entire Sinatra music archive in 2018 and has performed with legendary composer John Williams at the Hollywood Bowl, duetted with Barbra Streisand, and joined numerous renowned orchestras including Boston, San Francisco, Atlanta, Chicago, Baltimore, and the National Symphony. MacFarlane and his longtime collaborator Liz Gillies released their 12-track Songs from Home album in 2021, recorded entirely during quarantine. In 2023, MacFarlane was featured in Logic’s record-breaking track “Self Medication” and made a surprise musical appearance during the rapper’s College Park Tour.

At 24, MacFarlane became the youngest showrunner in television history when his animated series Family Guy aired on Fox. Now in its 26th year, Family Guy remains a pop-culture staple, earning MacFarlane multiple Emmy Awards—including four for Outstanding Voice-Over Performance, tying for the most wins in that category’s history. He is also the cocreator, executive producer, and primary voice actor for the long-running animated favorite American Dad!, which returns for its 22nd season this month. Both series continue to draw massive audiences: In 2025, Family Guy was Nielsen’s most-watched adult animation streaming title and ranked as the No. 5 streaming show overall, while American Dad! held the No. 3 spot among adult animated series.

Through his production company Fuzzy Door, Seth MacFarlane continues to shape modern entertainment with a slate of acclaimed television projects. Among these successes is Peacock’s Ted prequel series, which became the No. 1 original comedy streaming series in the US for two consecutive months and marked Sky UK’s biggest US comedy launch in two decades. The highly anticipated second season arrives March 5, and MacFarlane is also expanding the franchise with a new animated Ted series for Peacock, reprising his iconic role alongside original and new cast members. He also created, executive produces, and stars in Hulu’s Emmy-nominated The Orville, which premiered to more than 14 million viewers. Previously, MacFarlane executive produced the award-winning docuseries Cosmos for Nat Geo and Fox. Upcoming and current Fuzzy Door television projects include the adaptation of Matt Dinniman’s Dungeon Crawler Carl and Peacock’s The Burbs, starring Keke Palmer, which premiered February 8.

On the film side, MacFarlane’s most recent release is Paramount’s The Naked Gun, which opened in theaters last summer, went on to top Paramount+ streaming charts, and won Best Comedy at the 31st Annual Critics Choice Awards. MacFarlane made his feature directorial debut with the record-breaking Ted, followed by its hit sequel Ted 2 and the comedy A Million Ways to Die in the West, which he wrote, directed, produced, and starred in. He also hosted the 85th Academy Awards (2013), for which he was also nominated for Best Original Song from Ted
