Following her performance in Romeo and Juliet(Nureyev) in June 2021, Sae Eun Park was named Étoile of the Paris Opera Ballet.

1999  
Park begins studies at the National Ballet Academy of Korea. 

 
2006  
She is awarded a silver medal (junior category) at the USA International Ballet Competition in Jackson, Mississippi, as well as the silver medal at the Beijing International Ballet Competition. 

 
2007  
Park wins the Grand Prix de Lausanne, receiving a scholarship to the American Ballet Theatre’s second company. 

 
2009  
She joins the Korea National Ballet. 

 
2010  
As soloist with the Korea National Ballet, notable performances include Kitri (Don Quixote), Nikiya (La Bayadère), Clara (The Nutcracker), and Odette/Odile (Swan Lake). Park is awarded the gold medal at the Varna International Ballet Competition as well as the gold medal at the Premio Roma Danza. 

 
2011  
Park joins the Paris Opera Corps de Ballet on contract. 

 
2012  
She becomes a permanent member of the Corps de Ballet. 

 
2013  
Park is named a Coryphée. She wins the Prix du Cercle Carpeaux. 

 
2014  
She is promoted to Sujet. She dances Naïla in La Source (Bart) and Odette/Odile in Swan Lake (Nureyev). 

 
2017  
Park is named Première danseuse. Notable roles include Emeralds and Diamonds from Joyaux (“Jewels”) (Balanchine), Myrtha in Giselle (after Coralie and Perrot), Tatiana in Onegin (Cranko), Manon in La Dame aux camélias (Neumeier), Henriette in Raymonda and La Reine des Dryades in Don Quixote (Nureyev), Glass Pieces and In the Night (Robbins), Lamentation (Graham), and The Dying Swan (Fokine). 
 

2018  
Park is named best female dancer at the Benois de la Danse competition in Moscow.
