About this Artist

Nick Van Houten is a theatrical lighting designer and integrator based in Southern California. Regionally, his designs have been featured at The Chance Theatre, The Tuacahn Center for the Arts, CCAE Escondido, Chapman University, The Norris Theatre, and Azusa Pacific University. By day, he is a Principal Lighting Designer with Disney Live Entertainment, creating immersive shows and experiences of all scales at Disney properties both domestic and abroad. Nick is continually driven by the wonder of lighting and its ability to shape our experiences in every form of live entertainment. He is especially thankful for this opportunity to share that passion with the LA Phil.
