The Grammy award winning hip-hop trio from Philadelphia/Brooklyn, regarded as pioneers in the realms of jazz rap and alternative hip hop, their 1993 debut album Reachin’ (A New Refutation of Time and Space) and lead single, “Rebirth of Slick (Cool Like Dat), were both certified gold by the RIAA, the latter peaking at #15 on Billboard singles chart and earning them Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group at the 36th Annual Grammy Awards. Their second and last album, Blowout Comb, released in 1994 to public acclaim and earned a 9.2 and Best New Reissue by Pitchfork.
