Sophia Morales is a Mexican/Indigenous actress from the San Francisco Bay Area. She is profoundly Deaf and wears a right-side cochlear implant, communicating through ASL and spoken English. Sophia gained recognition after garnering large followings on TikTok and Instagram from ASL interpretations of pop songs. This included being asked by Paramore to sign one of their hits, “Still Into You,” in a video that was used throughout their 2022 world tour. She also had the opportunity to sign Disney’s “Colors of the Wind,” a collaboration with Deaf West Theatre and Disney Music.
