Soprano Emöke Baráth’s 2024/25 season highlights include Cesare in Egitto by Giacomelli in Innsbruck with Ottavio Dantone; Handel’s Ariodante at Opéra national du Rhin with Christopher Moulds; Haydn’s The Seasons with Ádám Fischer in Copenhagen; La Resurrezione in Paris’ Théâtre des Champs-Elysées with Julien Chauvin and Le Concert de la Loge, then Messiah by Handel with Hervé Niquet and Le Concert Spirituel; Dixit Dominus by Handel and Magnificat by Bach with Emmanuelle Haïm at Walt Disney Concert Hall; Mozart concerts with the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra; and the title role in Terradellas’ La Merope with Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin and Francesco Corti on their European tour. 

Emőke Baráth’s art is deployed in a vast repertoire under the baton of some of the most illustrious conductors. Her roles include La Musicà and Euridice in Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo (Iván Fischer and Emiliano Gonzalez Toro); Romilda in Cavalli’s Il Xerse (Haïm); the title role in Cavalli’s Hipermestra (William Christie); Morgana in Handel’s Alcina (Dantone and Haïm); and Susanna in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro (Marc Minkowski).  She has sung Poulenc’s Stabat Mater and Gloria (Bernard Tétu and Bertrand de Billy) and the Angel in Messiaen’s Saint François d’Assise (Sylvain Cambreling). 

Her extensive discography includes titles recorded for Erato/Warner Classics, Naïve, Alpha Classic, Cpo, Glossa, and Hungaroton. Currently an exclusive artist with Erato/Warner Classics, Emöke Baráth released her first solo album, Voglio Cantar, devoted to 17th-century Italian songs, in 2019. Her recent album Dualità, devoted to arias by Handel, was released in 2022, conducted by Philippe Jaroussky.
