Recently awarded the Key to the City of Inglewood, California, D Smoke is a three-time GRAMMY-nominated musician, actor, and author. This untraditional triple-threat has a new album on the way; is the lead of the short film, "Play Hard", which will be premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival this summer; guest stars in the new season of Paramount+’s Mayor of Kingstown; and has a young adult novel that's soon to be published. D Smoke gained global notoriety as the champion and undisputed breakout star of Netflix’s Rhythm + Flow. He showcased himself as a raw lyricist, classically trained musician, and cultural activist who creates from his heart. His debut full-length album, Black Habits, earned a GRAMMY-nomination for Best Rap Album, and his ability to enter into zeitgeist earned him a Best New Artist GRAMMY-nomination, as well as a NAACP Image Award Nomination for Outstanding New Artist.
