Aakash Pujara

Aakash Pujara, hailing from Orange County, is a versatile performing artist specializing in the Bansuri (Indian classical flute). His musical journey commenced at the age of 8 with Tabla training under the tutelage of the Late Pandit Ravi Bellare. However, his deep resonance with the melodious essence of Indian music led him to delve into the intricacies of the Indian Classical Flute.

Under the guidance of Pandit Divyang Thakore, a disciple of Abid Hussain Khan, Aakash honed his skills in the art of the Bansuri. Continuously evolving as an artist, he presently advances his pursuit of mastery under the esteemed mentorship of Pandit Radha Prasad—a disciple of the legendary Hariprasad Chaurasia—alongside Pandit Divyang Thakore.

Beyond his traditional classical roots, Aakash’s exceptional talent has bridged the gap between Indian classical music, mainstream Hollywood, and global philanthropic projects. He has contributed his evocative flute playing to the musical scores of major cinematic blockbusters, including Eat Pray Love (starring Julia Roberts) and Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol (starring Tom Cruise). Additionally, he has collaborated with globally recognized artists such as Adam Levine in partnership with the Playing For Change Foundation.

As a highly sought-after live musician, Aakash has showcased his artistry on some of the world's most renowned stages. His captivating performances have enchanted audiences at iconic locations such as Walt Disney Concert Hall and the historic Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, as well as numerous other prestigious venues. Through both his studio recordings, high-profile collaborations, and live concerts, Aakash continues to share the rich, soulful traditions of the Bansuri with a global audience.
