Ann Carlson

ANN CARLSON (Alexandra at 60) is an award-winning interdisciplinary artist whose work borrows from the disciplines of dance, performance, theater, as well as visual, conceptual, and social art practices. Carlson’s work has been seen throughout the United States, Europe, Mexico, and the former Soviet Union. Recently, she appeared in “Animal Dances,” co-directed by Peter Brosius and Carlson at The Children’s Theater Company, Minneapolis. “Animal Dances” is a dance with live animals made for an audience of infants and toddlers. Carlson performed in previous Meredith Monk works: Mercy (2001), Quarry (1985), and Book of Days (1985). anncarlsondance.com
