Matt Copson
Matt Copson is an artist and director, born 1992 in Oxford, UK. In 2023 he wrote and directed a new opera ‘Last Days’ with music composed by Oliver Leith, adapted from Gus Van Sant’s film of the same name. It premiered at the Royal Opera House, London and will have its US premiere in 2024 with the LA Phil at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. His recent solo exhibitions include Age Of Coming (C L E A R I N G, Brussels), Coming Of Age (High Art, Paris), Down Boy (Reena Spaulings, New York), Blorange (Fondation Louis Vuitton, Paris and Swiss Institute, New York). Since 2019 he has extensively worked with Caroline Polachek, co-directing all her music videos.
