Paul Radke

Trombone

Member of the Los Angeles Philharmonic since 2018

Paul Radke began playing the trombone at the age of 10 on his father’s instrument, which was originally obtained in a trade for a pig.

He grew up in Overland Park, KS, where he studied with Nathan Dishman and Roger Oyster. Radke holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Eastman School of Music, where he studied under John Marcellus and Larry Zalkind, and a Master’s degree from Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music, where he studied under Allen Barnhill. He has also performed with the San Francisco Symphony and the Houston Symphony.

TEACHING ACTIVITY

Alongside his role with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Paul is an instructor at Cal State University Northridge.
