    The first half of the performance features the NY-based Philharmonic Orchestra of the Americas, led by Artistic Director Alondra de la Parra in a program celebrating both Mexico’s and Argentina's bicentennials. For the second half, Bajofondo – the Argentine and Uruguayan collective led by two-time Oscar-winning composer and three-time BAFTA recipient Gustavo Santaolalla – mixes a unique blend of tango, pop and electronica.  Concluding the celebration, Bajofondo will be joined by the Orchestra for a special collaboration.  This concert is one of several performances taking place during the LA Phil’s Americas and Americans Festival.
