THURSDAY, AUGUST 19, 2010, AT 8 PM
WHAT:
Two gifted young artists bring a program of classics to life as Los Angeles Philharmonic Associate Conductor Lionel Bringuier leads the LA Phil and violinist Augustin Hadelich in Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto, Thursday, August 19, at 8 p.m. The program of romantic masterworks also includes Dvo?ák’s Carnival Overture, and Brahms’ Symphony No. 1.
Lionel Bringuier continues his role as Associate Conductor of the LA Phil in the 2010/11 season, and 2009/10 marked the beginning of his tenure as Music Director of the Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León. Twenty-six-year-old Augustin Hadelich has established himself as a rising star among the new generation of violinists. He first performed at the Hollywood Bowl in 2008, when he stepped in for an ailing Julian Rachlin.
