The programs for the Los Angeles Philharmonic concerts scheduled for Thursday, October 10, Friday, October 11, Saturday, October 12, and Sunday, October 13, have been changed.
Brett Dean’s The Last Days of Socrates (U.S. premiere, LA Phil commission), originally scheduled to be performed on October 10, October 11, October 12, and October 13, will be performed only on October 12 and October 13. Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 2 will be performed in its stead on October 10 and October 11. Beethoven’s The Ruins of Athens Overture and Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4 remain on the program as originally scheduled.
Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 2, originally scheduled to be performed on October 12 and October 13, has been replaced by Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4. Beethoven’s The Ruins of Athens Overture and Brett Dean’s The Last Days of Socrates (U.S. premiere, LA Phil commission) remain on the program as originally scheduled.
