Thibaudet to Perform Mozart's Double Piano Concerto with Yuja Wang

The 2017 LA Phil Opening Night Concert & Gala: Mozart - the Early Years Is Made Possible with the Proud Support of Rolex, the Official Timepiece of the Los Angeles Philharmonic

WHAT: 

Pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet replaces Yefim Bronfman,who has withdrawn from the from the Los Angeles Philharmonic Opening Night Concert: Mozart - The Early Years, Tuesday, September 26, on doctor's orders, as a result of a respiratory infection.

Thibaudet will perform Mozart's Double Piano Concerto with Yuja Wang.

The complete program, which includes performances by soprano Anna Prohaska and countertenor Tim Mead, remains unchanged:

MOZART      "Discede crudelis" from Apollo et Hyacinthus, K. 38
MOZART      Exsultate jubilate, K. 165
MOZART       Double Piano Concerto, K. 365  

Proceeds from the LA Phil Gala support the LA Phil's Philharmonic's many music education programs, which serve more than 150,00 youths, families and teachers every year.
