Tickets On Sale Friday, March 8, at 10:00 AM PST

    WHAT:
Ludovico Einaudi will make his Walt Disney Concert Hall debut on Sunday, June 16, 2019. He will perform music from his new album, Seven Days Walking, also announced today. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 8, at 10:00 AM PST.

Ludovico Einaudi has played piano on an Arctic glacier, performed at huge pop music festivals, and become the most-streamed contemporary classical artist in the world, but the composer and pianist's new album may be his most ambitious project yet. On March 15, 2019, he will release the first episode of a seven-part new album called Seven Days Walking (Decca Records/Universal), before embarking on a North American tour. Seven Days Walking will consist of seven episodes released over seven months throughout 2019 – variation after variation on a theme, all of them inspired by a winter’s walk he repeated over a period of time in the Alps.

In 2013, Einaudi became the first contemporary classical musician to perform at the iTunes Festival. In addition, last summer he appeared at some of the biggest venues in Europe, including the prestigious Waldbühne in Berlin, Terme di Caracalla in Rome, Odeon of Herodes Atticus in Athens and Palacio Vistalegre in Madrid. He also performed at the famed Dubai Opera in February, selling out back-to-back shows in unprecedented fashion.
