After consultation with his doctors, Conductor Leonard Slatkin has chosen to undergo three weeks of additional precautionary cardiac treatment necessitating the cancellation of his scheduled performances with the LA Phil on December 3 and 4. Philharmonic Creative Chair John Adams will replace him in Thomas Newman’s It Got Dark and Mason Bates’ Liquid Interface, and Jayce Ogren will lead Goldsmith’s Music for Orchestra and Waxman’s Tristan and Isolde Fantasy. The program remains the same:
