Friday Midday (FRM) (FRM)
Gustavo Dudamel, the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Los Angeles Master Chorale take you on a journey through Mozart’s music from his final year, 1791, while Charles Dutoit demonstrates why he’s known as a master interpreter of Ravel, and those are just the first two concerts of this matinee series. Pianist Sergio Tiempo returns for Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1, and Itzhak Perlman leads a program of Bach, Brahms and Elgar. The final two concerts find Dudamel conducting a world premiere by Esa-Pekka Salonen, as well as an all-Schumann program that includes his "Rhenish" Symphony.
