An Insider's Guide to Low-Cost Tickets at Walt Disney Concert Hall

When you picture an orchestral concert at a major concert hall, you might imagine fancy clothes, expensive wines, and other markers of supreme luxury. But you don’t have to spend like a Gatsby to enjoy an unforgettable night at Walt Disney Concert Hall. Save on tickets with the tips below, dress up in whatever you like, and we’ll see you in DTLA!

$25 Bench Seats 

What is it? For select classical concerts, a limited number of $20 (plus a $5 processing fee) bench seats positioned behind the stage are made available to the public at noon on the Tuesday two weeks prior to the week of the concert. For instance, if you wanted to see a concert on May 31, 2025, bench seats would go on sale May 13. 

How to get it: Tickets can be purchased online, in person, or by phone at 323 850 2000 (there is a per-ticket fee for all online and phone sales). Two-ticket limit per household.

Discounts for Students 

What is it? High school students and full-time college or graduate students can join the Student Insiders program for free and get discounts on various programs throughout the season. You’ll get access to tickets ranging from $12 to $25 to LA Phil-presented concert at Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Hollywood Bowl, and The Ford.

Student and Senior Rush Tickets 

What is it? Students and senior citizens aged 65 or older may purchase $10 tickets for the Terrace, Balcony, and Orchestra View seats or $20 tickets in the Orchestra sections for any concert presented by the LA Phil at Walt Disney Concert Hall, based on availability.  

How to get it: You can call Audience Services (323 850 2000) after 2pm on the day of an evening performance or after 10am on the day of a morning or matinee to check on availability. If there’s availability, rush tickets will be sold beginning two hours prior to the concert (at the box office only). Remember, seating is limited; there is no guarantee that you will get in! One ticket per ID, purchaser may only present their own ID (or valid photo ID plus a current class schedule showing full-time middle school, high school, or college enrollment). Please note: Seating is at the discretion of the Box Office.

CODA Membership Group

What is it? Join CODA, the LA Phil’s free membership program for young professionals and music lovers, and enjoy access to discounted $25 tickets. Membership also comes with complimentary drinks at exclusive after-parties where you’ll mix and mingle with other fans.  

How to get it: Visit the CODA page, join for free, and purchase tickets for any or all of the available concerts listed on the page.

Group Tickets 

What is it? Purchase tickets for a group of 10 or more people and receive 20% discount on select seats for most concerts with no per-ticket handling fee.
