YOLA Sets Up Camp in the Woods

Watch & Listen

Every year, YOLA students, teaching artists, and mentors head three hours east of Los Angeles to Idyllwild, CA, a small mountain encampment in Mt. San Jacinto State Park. There, they meet up with other young musicians from around the country, learn leadership skills, bond as musicians – and friends – and, as teaching artist Erica Zappia says, they “settle into a spiritual, musical place really quickly.”

Get an inside look at this wonderful artistic retreat in the video above.
