Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla, a favorite of LA Phil audiences, has won over critics and concertgoers alike throughout her meteoric conducting career. She leads the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra in a widely expressive and colorful program featuring the great Impressionist symphony La mer by Debussy and Haydn’s First Cello Concerto with her frequent collaborator—cello phenom Sheku Kanneh-Mason.
