Written by the great Russian composer and pianist after he moved to the United States, Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances was the composer’s final orchestral work. It was initially conceived as a ballet score and blends endless melodies of the Romantic style with dance rhythms, moments of modern musical elements, and hints of jazz.

This concert is recommended for children ages 5 to 11.
