Hosted by screenwriter April Wolfe and featuring a line-up of queer POC comedians, “Jessica Behind Bars” is a live read based on an episode of the long-running series Murder She Wrote. A celebration of the place of mainstream television’s role in the lives of Generation X’s latch-key kids and the pop culture moments that, for better or worse, shape our identities, “Jessica Goes to Jail” takes a comedic deep-dive into an episode that today reads as an unexpected queer text circa 1985.
