Gershwin & Ravel
It’s a meeting of the masters: two extraordinary composers, brought together by two brilliant French artists and the LA Phil.
- Los Angeles Philharmonic
- Lionel Bringuier conductor
- Hélène Grimaud piano
About This Performance
For one shining moment, Ravel and Gershwin met each other at a New York party in 1928, where they expressed their deep mutual admiration and passion for jazz. Now, two brilliant French artists (and Philharmonic regulars) keep that connection alive with this latter-day meeting of the minds.
