About this Performance
Punk legend Alice Bag, multidisciplinary artist/community archivist Guadalupe Rosales, and DJ collective Chulita Vinyl Club will share songs that have influenced them and unveil the stories behind the music. The lively dialog and accompanying soundtrack will illuminate music’s role in the lives of the women who are pushing culture forward.
Chulita Vinyl Club will play DJ sets to open and close the evening.
Free and open to the public. The event will take place at BP Hall. Reception at 7pm followed by the conversation at 8pm.
Sonic Biographies is curated by Rita Gonzalez, LACMA’s head of contemporary art.
