YOLA National Festival: Evolution
Join the YOLA National Festival Symphony Orchestra and YOLA National Festival Overture Chamber Music Program as young musicians from across the country come together for a powerful celebration of artistry, collaboration, and community.
The YOLA National Festival is a week-long orchestral and chamber music intensive that brings together musicians from El Sistema–inspired programs nationwide, offering world-class musical instruction, mentorship, and performance opportunities completely free of charge to all participants, including travel, lodging, and tuition. Throughout the festival, students work alongside leading artists, educators, and professional musicians while building lasting connections through music.
The 2026 festival’s theme of EVOLUTION celebrates the artistic and personal growth of the musicians. Throughout their time together, these young artists have challenged themselves, embraced new experiences, and discovered new possibilities through music. This performance reflects their journey of growth, curiosity, and transformation, showcasing not only how far they have come, but also the exciting paths that lie ahead.
This year’s festival proudly welcomes Thomas Wilkins, Principal Conductor of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, whose commitment to music education continues to inspire audiences and young musicians alike.
The evening’s performance will feature full symphonic works alongside chamber music performances by a diverse range of ensembles from the Overture Chamber Music Program. Together, these musicians represent the next generation of artists, bringing energy, excellence, and joy to the stage.
The performance, held inside Walt Disney Concert Hall’s main auditorium, will be a two-hour-long program with a 15-minute intermission. Space is limited. Reserve FREE tickets to this event now.
