Public School Partnerships

About This Event
Many El Sistema-inspired organizations have an interest in partnering with their local public school system. Forming effective partnerships entails many considerations, including what makes an effective partner, how to scale the partnership, reasons to enter a partnership, as well as the benefits for both the El Sistema-inspired organization and the public school. This working group will provide a space to discuss the benefits and challenges of public school partnerships. In response to school closures as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the discussion will include scenario planning for phased reopening and hybrid programming in the fall of 2020.
This session is presented in partnership between El Sistema USA and YOLA National.

Administrators, leadership, teachers, and teaching artists from El Sistema-inspired programs engaged in public school partnerships, or those interested in establishing such a partnership.
