MO GAFFNEY (Prudy Pingleton / Gym Teacher / Matron) gained national attention when she wrote and starred, with Kathy Najimy, in the Off-Broadway comedy sensation, The Kathy and Mo Show: Parallel Lives, which earned her an Obie Award. HBO taped the comedy and aired it as an hour-long special, which went on to win two Cable Ace Awards: Best Comedy Special and Best Performance in a Comedy Special, a feat that she repeated with her second HBO special, Kathy and Mo: The Dark Side. She also starred in the show’s third incarnation, Afterbirth.

Mo has appeared in films including Drop Dead Gorgeous, Other Peoples’ Money, State Of Grace, The Out-of-Towners, and the soon to be released God Bless America. On television she was a regular in Normal, Ohio and Run of the House. She also appeared on the BBC sitcom Absolutely Fabulous, in the 2-hour special The Last Shout, as a regular on the BBC’s The Full Wax, and in Taffy Turner: Inside America. She played therapist Sheila Kleinman for three seasons on NBC’s Mad About You and enjoyed a recurring role as Joanne Stupak on That 70’s Show. She has been seen on such shows as Friends, Eight Simple Rules, Roseanne, Judging Amy, Without A Trace, State of Mind, Justified, and most recently House of Lies. She recently shot a pilot for ABC called My Freakin’ Family.

Mo hosted and co-produced the ground-breaking, half-hour comedy/talk show, Women Aloud! on Comedy Central – earning her two Cable Ace Award nominations, and produced and starred in the Fox talk show The Mo Show.

On stage she has starred in the award-winning off-Broadway production of Paula Vogel’s Minneola Twins for the Roundabout Theater in NYC and The Vagina Monologues with Marsha Mason and Lynn Whitfield.

She appeared (3 times!) on Bravo’s Celebrity Poker Showdown and lost, lost, and....lost. She lives in Los Angeles with her perfectly delicious son, Jack.
