Originally from upstate New York, Reale began studying the violin when she was two-and-a-half years old. Her love of music led her to Walnut Hill School for the Arts in Boston when she was 14, where she studied with Boston University professor Peter Zazofsky. She received her Bachelor's Degree in violin performance from Rice University, where she studied with Kathleen Winkler. Reale and her husband reside in Hollywood with their two dogs: a spunky boxer mix named Mowgli and a sassy frenchie named Callisto.
