Singers from the Atkins Young Artists Program at the Mariinsky Theatre

About this Artist

The Atkins Young Artists Program brings to Mariinsky the world’s leading teachers, coaches, and tutors, as well as consultants on the art of singing, traditions and practices of opera performing, languages, music styles, acting techniques, interpretation, and stage movement. Atkins Fellows are young singers whose talents have been publicly acknowledged at prestigious international competitions and festivals; the Atkins Young Artists Program provides its singers with exceptional opportunities for artistic development and professional growth. Together with chances to master vocal skills, Atkins Fellows perform and tour with the core Mariinsky troupe as well as with their own concert and charity concert programs, study in Europe and the United States, work with theater administrators and managers, PR agencies, and have opportunities to audition for future engagements with most successful artistic agencies, opera companies, and chamber ensembles. The Atkins Young Artists Program is generously supported by Mrs. Veronica Atkins (USA) and has as its Artistic Director, Maestro Valery Gergiev.
