Elijah Alexander

About this Artist

Elijah Alexander is a 17-year-old junior attending the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. He has been composing for around three years, making mostly jazz music. Most of the songs he writes focus on a specific skill to improve on his primary instrument, which is the trombone. Camps he has attended include the Stanford Jazz Institute and the Quincy Jones Jazz Camp. Outside of music, Elijah is interested in politics and world history. He is a 2019/20 fellow in the LA Phil Nancy and Barry Sanders Composer Fellowship Program.
