Noah Godard

About this Artist

Noah Godard is a 16-year-old sophomore at Moorpark High School, where he plays oboe and jazz piano. Having written music since elementary school, Noah started studying composition with Brett Banducci in early 2019 and is a 2019/20 fellow in the LA Phil Nancy and Barry Sanders Composer Fellowship Program. Noah was twice named a finalist in the ASCAP Morton Gould Young Composer Awards. He was one of three finalists in the Florida Southern College Call for String Scores and has been awarded by the National PTA in music composition. Noah studies oboe with Jason Kennedy and jazz piano with Matt Harris. He has been awarded scholarships to the Idyllwild Arts Wind Ensemble Intensive, Idyllwild Arts Jazz Intensive, and Stanford Jazz Institute, and he has been a member of various regional honor bands. Besides music, Noah enjoys growing bonsai, studying linguistics, and cooking.
