Norah Fong

About this Artist

Norah Fong is 16 years old, attending South Torrance High School. She studies cello with Sarah Freeman and music composition with Jordan Nelson at the Colburn Community School of Performing Arts. She was recently accepted into the chamber ensemble program at Chamber Music OC and is a three-time CalASTA finalist, most recently taking second place in the 2020 State Competition round. Norah served as Co-Principal Cellist for the Colburn Chamber Orchestra and was a 2019 scholarship recipient for the Ed and Mari Edelman Honors Chamber Music Program. She is the founder and manager of an internship program at the South Bay STEM Foundation, where students give back to their community by providing STEM-based classes primarily to Title 1 schools. Norah is an avid supporter of making music/technology training more accessible. Norah Fong is a 2020/21 fellow in the LA Phil Nancy and Barry Sanders Composer Fellowship Program.
